CRISTÓBAL COLÓN DE IBIZA: MAIN ENGINE OVERHAUL
We proceeded to completely disassemble the cylinder heads, pistons, rods and liners of the main engine Deutz D500 of the vessel Cristóbal Colón de Ibiza for inspection, as well as auxiliary elements such as pumps, coolers and injectors.
After moving all the material to our workshops, we proceeded to conduct cleaning, hydraulic testing and assembly operations with new elements in the cylinder heads. We cleaned and checked the rods, bolts and sockets and then cleaned, measured and polished liners to their original shape. The injection pumps and nozzles were overhauled and repaired, and all dis-assembled elements were retrofitted and prepared. Once completed, everything was transported and assembled on-board.
